Ashtanga led

• 75 Minutes

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic practice which moves through a set sequence of postures, synchronising breath and movement, known as Vinyasa.  The flow (Vinyasa) between each posture is an integral part of the practice designed to build internal heat to help purify the body. Be prepared to sweat a little!

In an Ashtanga Led class students will be guided through the same sequence of postures that start with sun salutations before moving on to standing postures, seated postures, the finishing sequence and finally relaxation. For experienced  practitioners: this class is half primary, up to Navasana.

Mysore

• up to 90 Minutes

Mysore style is the traditional way of practicing Ashtanga yoga. Rather than following the instructions of a teacher, practice the Ashtanga yoga sequence at your own pace, guided by your breath. Students are given individual guidance and adjustments where necessary. Mysore classes have students of all levels with beginners practicing next to advanced practitioners. We welcome all levels to our Mysore classes. Some knowledge of the Ashtanga sequence (half primary) is required. Our Intro to Ashtanga Course is a great place to start if you are new to Ashtanga yoga.

At Yoga Corner, we honour the Ashtanga yoga method as taught by Sharath Jois, whom Odette has received the blessing from to teach this practice.

Note: Mon - Thurs Mysore classes, doors open at 5:30am and teaching begins at 5:45am. Friday Led class begins at 5:45am sharp.

Vinyasa

• 60 - 75 Minutes

Vinyasa yoga is a flowing practice, linking breath and movement in creative sequences which vary each class. Our slow flow classes are a medium intensity class designed for beginners and experienced practitioners wanting to move at a steady pace.

Fast flow classes are higher intensity and move at a faster pace with the option for more advanced postures that will energise and challenge your practice. We welcome all levels in our classes but suggest you feel comfortable in our slow flow classes before attending fast flow.

Our Dynamic Vinyasa classes are for experienced practitioners. This is a faster flowing class where we we will explore intermediate and advanced postures with modifications to suit everyone practice.
